Pima County Law Enforcement

11 different agencies are responsible for law enforcement in Pima County: Pima County Sheriff, Tucson Police DepartmentMarana Police Department, Oro Valley Police Department, Pasqua Yaqui Police Department, Pima Community College Police Department, Sahuarita Police Department, South Tucson Police Department, Tohono O’Odham Police Department, Tucson International Airport Police Department, and the University of Arizona Police Department.

Tremendous resources and taxpayer dollars go to law enforcement: in fiscal year 2016 the City of Tucson budgeted $157.3 million for TPD from the City’s general fund, and Pima County budgeted $146 million for the Pima County Sheriff’s Department from the County’s general fund.
